Today's Sunday's Honey is his Lordship, a Mighty Warrior and a Knight of great import. Any of you who read Historical Romance or Regency can relate to His Lordship's importance in our stories. A man whom we all seem to love, hate, laugh at, lust after, admire, or just want to strangle at one time or another. When he's arrogant and conceded we don't really care for him or do we? It does seem that all of our lovely novels have the most handsome of Lords but what makes us still long after a man that is a total ass? It can't be only his looks and I'm sorry but money doesn't buy everything. Ahh.....well pretty close but no cigar.
Now here's where the real question is, how many of our wonderful Historical or Regency novels have his Lordship being a real pompous ass? How many authors make his Lordship look like the average Joe, a man who has the IQ and sincerity of a pauper? Not many I would say, if any.
Yes, I know this is romance and his Lordship is supposed to be God's gift to womankind, wealthy, intelligent, worldly, and the best lover this side of Hell but really couldn't we have one book where he doesn't have the best of everything already sitting in his lap. Couldn't he be a typical man who works his way up the ladder while wooing our heroine? I for one say make the bugger work for it.
So I guess my question for today is, "Are you totally happy with His Awesome Lordship or would you like to see him get down and dirty and work his way up the ladder?

I think his Lordship should start with a level playing field and go from there. Everyone even stephen.
I say get dirty, that's sexy!
