A Highlander's Temptation by Sue-Ellen Welfonder (5 copy Giveaway)

The woman he must resist is the one he desires most of all ...

Darroc MacConacher spends sleepless nights dreaming of a raven-haired beauty who makes him ache with desire. Then his dream comes true: the lady with her lush curves and fair skin appears shipwrecked on his shores. Darroc is immediately drawn to her strength and beauty, and from the moment she lays eyes on this powerful, broad-shouldered warrior, Lady Arabella MacKenzie knows she'll never want another man.

But theirs is a forbidden love. The MacKenzies drove the MacConachers from their lands and destroyed their honor. Now, Darroc can use this sapphire-eyed seductress to shatter his foes. Yet how can he deny the passion that burns between him and Arabella, and ruin the one woman who touches his very soul?

Author’s Bio:

Sue-Ellen Welfonder is a card-carrying Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent (free) trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty year career with the airlines. Bi-lingual, she flew international all those years, working her flights as foreign language speaker. Her flying career allowed her to see the world, but it was always to Scotland that she returned.

Now a full-time writer, she’s quick to admit that she much prefers wielding a pen to pushing tea and coffee. She spent fifteen years living in Europe and used that time to explore as many castle ruins, medieval abbeys, and stone circles as possible. Anything ancient, crumbling, or lichened caught her eye. She makes annual visits to Scotland, insisting they are a necessity as each trip gives her inspiration for new books.

Proud of her own Hebridean ancestry, she belongs to two clan societies: the MacFie Clan Society and the Clan MacAlpine Society. In addition to Scotland, her greatest passions are medieval history, the paranormal, and dogs. She never watches television, loves haggis, and writes at a four-hundred-and-fifty year old desk that once stood in a Bavarian castle.

Sue-Ellen is married and currently resides with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier in Florida. Readers can learn more about her and the world of her books at: www.welfonder.com.

Hi Ladies!

Tetewa - I'm so glad you'd like to win a copy.

Valerie - Thank you so much for your good words. They're much appreciated.

CrystalGB - Thank you, too, for the kind words. You made me smile.

RachieG - Hellooo! It's always nice to see you when I get out and blog. Your good words, too, made me smile. And I ADORE your dog. What a sweetie. You know how much I love dogs.

Virginia - Bless you, too. I am right there with you on loving those Highlanders. Seeing your enthusiasm about the book really made me feel good.

Creatncris - I agree ... there's just something extra-special about Highlanders. Absolutely!

Morning Glow - Yep, I'll agree again. Highlanders can't be beat in the hero department. Btw, I love your tagline.

Booklover 0226 - Thank you! I hope you'll enjoy the book. Obviously, I love all my books, but I really love this one. It's special.

Elaing8 - Thank you, too! I hope you'll enjoy the book.

Everyone - I don't recall if it's mentioned with the book promo above, but if you'd like to see actual photos of the places in Scotland that I used as settings, you can find them on my website. Just click on 'See the inspiration' next to the book cover to get there.

Good luck in the drawing. And above all, have fun.

I'll look in again later this evening. For now, thanks to all of you for looking in and making the start of my blog tour so special.

Hello again, Ladies!

I'm just returned from walking my little dog - if no one knew, in addition to Scotland and Highlanders, I LOVE dogs. My little Jack Russell rules the roost around here and rightly so. I wish all dogs were so spoiled, but that's a topic for a different blog.

Sooo....

Armenia - I'm delighted to see that you're also loving those sexy, hot-blooded Scots!

Estella - I think I've seen you at blogs before. If so, it's lovely to see you here today. And, as above, it's great to see so many readers loving Scotland.

I'll look in again later this evening. For now, have fun and...

Hi Sue-Ellen,

Please, no need to enter me in the drawing. But I would like to add that A Highlander's Temptation was such a treat to read. So many wonderful things to sink into in Arabella's and Darroc's journey to find and hold onto the love they so deserve.

Evening, Ladies!

It's time time to make supper here on the east coast, so I'll be breaking away now. But I'll look back in later tonight so I don't miss anyone.

Jane - Yes, the cover is beautiful, isn't it? The cover gods and GCP's fabulous art department were kind to Arabella and Darroc. I'm grateful! I hope you'll enjoy the book.

Lynz Pickles - The original cover art had two red plaids. My brilliant editor is responsible for the contrasting colors. That was her idea and I think it works beautifully.

Btw, your dog is precious. Bichon or Maltese? I'm doing a charity Scottish gift basket for the American Maltese Association's Rescue Raffle in Atlanta in May 2010. They're wonderful little dogs and the people in the orgnaization are so devoted to them. Great group!

Jaime - Wow! I was instantly enchanted by your copper llama and did some clicking to find your art studio. Hats off to you, my lady! You are a very talented soul. I'm impressed and, when this blog tour is over and I have some time, I will be looking through your studio more thoroughly. Beautiful work and all things I love. I did an artistic heroine in an Allie Mackay book. She made broken china jewelry which I have a great fondness for and can't resist. I hope you'll enjoy A Highlander's Temptation.

Virginia - I'm with you on being tempted by Highlanders! And -oooh, you have a darling pet photo, too. That's a precious cat and looks full of personality. Aren't pets wonderful?

AmyC - Bless you, Amy, for looking in here! Everyone, Amy is one of my very favorite people in the world. We were lucky enough to meet in person at Lori Foster's Weekend in June and that was sooo nice!

Thanks so much for your good words on the book, Amy. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much.

And thanks again for looking in here. You're an angel.

Patti - You're making me smile again with your 'WANT' list. It's lovely to see someone so eager to read the book.

Everyone, thanks so much for looking in here. I'll be back later tonight. Just now it's time to tie on an apron and do kitchen duty...

Good luck, everyone. And have fun!

Hello Ladies,

I'm back again. Fed and content and, most important, my little dog has had his late night walk and is sleeping happily now.

Sooo...

PJ - How good to see you in here! I know you loved Seducing A Scottish Bride and hope you'll enjoy this one, too! Above all, I hope you're doing well.

Cait045 - Thanks so much for looking in tonight. I hope you'll enjoy the book.

Bridget - Thank you for looking in and for spreading word about the giveaway. I appreciate it.

I Heart Book Gossip - Thank you so much. I love the cover, too. GCP's art people really did an amazing job. The heroine looks exactly as I see Arabella in my mind. I'm sure this will remain one of my all-time favorite covers.

CherieJ - Thank you! I'm delighted the book sounds like one you'd enjoy. I hope you will, if you read it. It is certainly special to me.

Stacie - Thank you so much for looking in here. I appreciate it.

Stacey - Thank you so much for the good words. And, yes, Highlanders are wonderful, aren't they? Thank you for signing on to my newsletter. I think I recognize your name, but I may have lost you in the shuffle over the last few years - I've had two pc crashes and lost some of my mailing list addresses last year.
I'll see you in my private email and will send you the most recent newsletters so you can catch up on my news.

Everyone else ... I'll be signing off now. It's late here on the east coast. But I'll check in again in the morning so I don't miss anyone.

Thank you so much -all of you- for taking the time to look in here today and for making the first day of my first ever blog tour so special.

THANK YOU!

And good luck in the drawing!

Special thanks to you, Terra. You were a fantastic hostess and I appreciate it very much!

Love historicals set in the Highlands. The history and culture of the area offer so much fertile ground for romance writers.
Have you been to the Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain, NC. They are the largest in the States and bigger than most in Scotland.

Morning, Ladies!

As promised, I am looking in to see if anyone posted since I signed off last night. I'm delighted to see that a few of you did indeed. Thank you!

Etirv - It's good to see you here. Thanks so much for dropping by and good luck!

Librarypat - You're someone who definitely loves Scotland and appreciates the culture, I can tell. Yes, the history, culture, and tradition is incredible. I have been to the Grandfather Mountain Games, yes. You're right, they are probably the best of the best. I'm also fond of the Stone Mountain Games in GA. And you're right, the Games in Scotland are much, much smaller than ours here. Two favorites I enjoy attending in Scotland are the Nairn Games, right on the Moray Firth, and the Aberdeen Games, at a lovely park setting. I hope you'll enjoy my books. All my passion for Scotland goes into them. Thank you so much for looking in here.

Haleyknitz - Thanks so much for looking in and good luck! I hope you'll enjoy the book.

Dina - Thank you again for a fantastic day yesterday. It was great and a wonderful kick-off for my blog tour.

Bye, everyone, and thanks so much.

Good luck, all!

Hi Ladies - It's late Sunday night, but I wanted to look back in to make sure I hadn't missed anyone. I see that I did, so...

Valerie1961 - Thanks so much for looking in here. I hope you can find my books at your library. Some of the early ones are out of print, but they should be floating around in used bookstores. Your library should be able to order the more recent ones if they do not already have them. Wherever you find the books, I hope you'll enjoy them.

Karen H in NC - Thanks so much for looking in and good luck in the drawing. Your tagline made me smile. I love NC and head up there whenever I need a Highlands fix and can't get to Scotland. NC is gorgeous country. You're blessed to live there.

NFM Girl - It's an honor to see you in here. That's a proud lineage you have. Good clan! Thanks so much for stopping by and good luck in the drawing.

W - Your tagline made me smile. I have "W" all over my house because of my name. Good luck in the drawing and thanks for looking in.

Heatherzilla - I really love your tagline. Very original. I hope you'll try my books and hope you'll enjoy them if you do. Thanks so much for looking in and good luck in the drawing.

Kimmy L - You're so sweet to look in here. Thank you. Fingers crossed for you that win a copy.

Lag123 - Thanks for looking in and best of luck in the drawing.

Busy Bee - Thanks so much for your enthusiasm. You made me smile with the comment about your short list. Good luck in the drawing.

Everyone, thank you again for taking the time to look in here and say hello. I wish you could all win the book!

Goodnight......

Luvdaylilies - I love your tagline. I love day lilies, too. You can see my desk in one of my blog posts. I wrote ten essays for this tour and there's a photo of my office in one of the essays. It shows the desk. It's wonderful, richly carved and very solid, dark and glossy. It was given to me by a Bavarian baron who had it in his castle. The essay with the photo is called Enchanted Realms, but I don't know which tour blogger will be posting the essay.
