My Favorite Witch by Lisa Plumley

I’M NOT TECHNICALLY BALD, BUT...

Remember those old Hair Club For Men commercials?

“I’m not only the Hair Club president, but I’m also a client!”

Come on... I can’t be the only one! I know I’m probably dating myself here, but I can’t help it. Sy Sperling was a prophet. He spoke the truth. There’s a lot of wisdom to be found in that proclamation. Don’t believe me? With only a few modifications, Sy’s statement
works in a variety of situations...

“I’m not only a mild-mannered reporter by day, but I’m also a superhero by night!”

“I’m not only a high school student, but I’m also a vampire slayer!”

“I’m not only a contemporary and historical romance writer, but I’m also a paranormal romance writer!”

See? Nifty, right?

Okay, so that last one is pushing it. It doesn’t have quite the same pizzazz as “vampire slayer” or “superhero,” I’ll admit. But a girl’s got to work with what she has...and what I have is my first-ever paranormal romance, My Favorite Witch! It’s in stores now. The story is about a runaway witch and a rugged half-breed warlock tracer, and it’s... Well, let me give you a sneak peek at the
back cover, okay?

Love is magical in USA Today bestselling author Lisa Plumley's enchanting new novel about a runaway witch and the warlock who's on
her trail—and in her thrall...

Dayna Sterling’s always been betwixt and between. Born in a desert town populated by witches and blissfully ignorant humans, Dayna
had magic, but no clue how to handle it. So she left to forge a workaday life among ordinary Joes. Which is fine, really—until the
day one most extraordinary Joe turns everything upside down...

The assignment is simple. Trace the runaway witch; bring her home for compulsory “cusping” training. So why does Dayna set T.J.
McAllister’s half-warlock blood buzzing? Maybe it’s the bonding spell that spontaneously connects them. Or the fact that T.J.’s
powers go wonky whenever he’s around Dayna. In any case, the attraction is making it damn hard for T.J. to accomplish his most
important mission: prevent a dangerous uprising by locating a powerful witch prophesied to help him. She could be anywhere. She
could be closer than he thinks...

If you’re familiar with my previous books, then you know that My Favorite Witch is a departure for me. But I’m SO excited about that! Life is always changing. And it’s up to us to groove right along with it...and do whatever we can to enjoy the journey!

For instance, in the past year I’ve traveled with my family to England, Scotland, and Wales. I’ve taken up running (amazing!), and now I’m seriously considering signing up for a 5K (major, for a full-time desk jockey like me!). I’ve seen both my adorable sons grow to be taller than me (yikes!). I’ve celebrated a big-deal 20th wedding anniversary with my sweeter-than-sweet husband (fun!). I’ve written a lot of stories, done a lot of reading, and baked a lot of vegan cupcakes (they’re beyond delicious, I swear!). I’ve donated and volunteered and vacuumed. I’ve toured a real palace, ridden the Tube, and sampled vegetarian haggis. Every day I try to approach life with curiosity and gratitude. And here’s why...

“I’m not only a writer, but I’m also a woman who’s living her dream. And I want to invite you along!”

Creating stories that make people laugh, cry, or turn the pages at breakneck speed really IS my dream. But it’s a dream that’s only possible because of readers like YOU. A book isn’t truly finished until it’s read! So please consider this your invitation to make my latest book complete. You can drop by my Web site at http://www.lisaplumley.com/witch-excerpt.html to read the first chapter of My Favorite Witch, or visit Amazon.com to download a preview to your Kindle or iPod/iPod Touch (http://www.amazon.com/My-Favorite-Witch-ebook/dp/B002MTM3BG/ref=ed_oe_k) today.

In the meantime, what’s YOUR favorite “I’m not only... but I’m also...” statement? Let’s dish!

Lisa :)

I have to copy Virginia's answer: I'm not only old, I'm also young at heart!

Love those old hair club commercials, but I think the commercials for the spray-on hair to cover the bald spot were the bomb!

Hi Lisa, I'm loving all the comments as much as I enjoyed your blog.

"I'm not only a mom by day, but I'm a time traveler by night." (hehehehe, that's when I do most of my reading.)

I can't wait to read My Favorite Witch. Of course it would happen all the faster if I were to win a copy. :) It is definitely on my wish list!

Wow, you guys got really creative.

Let's see....
I'm not only the mother of three very wild children, I'm also a failure at motherhood.

Well, it seems that way sometimes. I just have to wonder if my oldest is even mine. She just does the stranges things. lol

Liked Virginia's comment about age, so true for many of us. Please enter me in the contest. I'd love to win. There are so many good answers!
