A Lady's Revenge by Tracey Devlyn (Terra's Review)

Nothing Gets Between a Lady and Her Vengence...
In a daring rescue, beautiful and wily secret operative Cora deBeau is reunited with her childhood friend Guy Trevelyan, who wants so much more from her now than friendship ...

He'll Stoke the Fire Until They Both Go Up In Flames...
But Cora's mission against the French has become personal, and even the fire between her and Guy won't deter her. When it comes to getting sweet, cruel revenge, nothing will stand in a lady's way ...

(Terra's Thoughts) A great story of intrigue, love, torture and hate awaits the reader of this story. Cleverly written with descriptive details that will make your heart cringe and your toes curl.

Cora deBeau is a ravenous beauty whose skill would make the average woman of the ton get the vapors of fear just from the first few words. Cora has been trained as a spy and is damned good at what she does until one little slip of confidence gives her away and nearly costs her her life. Can she keep her beauty inside and out with the horendous acts that will be cast upon her body?

Guy Trevelyn is extremely talented, handsome and has come into his place as an heir, but having a title doesn't get in the way of his life's purpose of cracking codes during the French Revolution. He's best of the best until he happens upon a nearly broken human that will stun him into the most protective of modes.

This story is rich in action, love, lust, betrayal, hurt, passion and so much more. The author playes your emotions like a string on a violin, plucking each with the most tender of touches but bringing about the most vibrant of reactions. A story that you think must be going to come to some sort of conclusion soon only to have you chasing after the next chapter to see what could possibly happen next.

I absolutely loved this book for it's intensity and richness. A well written plot that keeps you going and going wondering how one woman can go through so much and still come out with any kind of sanity at all. A stronger heroine has not been written in quite some time and our author has pushed this heroine to her most inner limits. Well done!

The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare (Terra's Review)

Regency England Has Gone to the Wolves!

Lady Madeline Hayburn Has Money Problems...

Specifically, she has so much of it that she's dogged by fortune hunters, including her bewilderingly attractive, penniless neighbor, with his wild nature and uncouth manners...

Weston Hadley Has An Identity Crisis...

Specifically, he's just turned into a wolf while Madeline was watching. Now it's up to the regal lady to tame the wild beast...if she can...

(Terra's Thoughts) I swear Lydia Dare just keeps getting better and better with each new installment of our Lupine friends. It makes me hunger for a wolf of my very own. A hot intense storyline that is sure to have you drooling before the second chapter so bring out the napkins!

Lady Madeline is a light haired beauty that our hero doesn't think he has a chance of ever getting to know more than to say hello to. Brought up as a proper lady who knows her place and why she was raised as she was, Madeline accepts her fate knowing full well that a loveless marriage is loaming closly overhead.

Weston Hadley is a bit on the scarey side with a large scar loaming on one side of his face giving him the appearance of a dangerous beast of a man. If only the truth were known though that looks don't always tell the truth of the matter. Never judge a book by it's cover or a man by his looks as most times you will get the surprise of your life.

This storyline is a true enchanting delight. From being in the wrong place at the wrong time to being dragged all the way across Scotland against one's will and with plenty of misconceptions, dashing chases and all kinds of action that we have come to love from this writing duo.

I always watch for these books and long for them inbetween release dates but once my pretty little hands get ahold of them I devour them. My appetatite is sated for just a bit now but I'm sure it will be aching soon enough for I can never get enough of Lydia Dare.

True Highland Spirit by Amanda Forester (Terra's Review)

A HEATED RIVALRY...

Morrigan McNab is a Highland lady, robbed of her birthright and with no choice but to fight alongside her brothers to protect their impoverished clan. When she encounters Sir Jacques Dragonet, she discovers her fiercest opponent...

IS GETTING EVEN HOTTER...

Sir Jacques Dragonet will give his life to defend Scotland from the English. He can't stop himself from admiring the beautiful Highland lass who wields her weapons as skillfully as he does, and endangers his heart even more than his life...

(Terra's Thoughts) I luv Amanda Forester and her writing. Each book just continues on as if the family sage has just had a wee vacation.

Morrigan McNab is one fiesty highland lass who can seem to find just as much trouble without looking for it as her brothers do. A Highland lady who can't seem to find her way out of breaches and into a nice gown, Morrigan really does need the so called Kick in the Pants!

Sir Jacques Dragonet is about as noble as they come. A priest on a mission of great import doesn't stop this knight from helping Scotland protect itself from the English invasion that is coming. Noble, kind hearted, handsome as the day is long doesn't stop the ladies from admiring him. Will he have the strength of heart and soul to resist a firey higland lass that is sure to test his patience past endurance?

This story is full of action, passion and deceit. A story that is a test of strength of heart, soul and honor that could surely break the strongest of the strong. This is a tale of giggles and oh my where's the tissues that will make you impatient for the next installment from a very gifted writer.

I can't help but love this series of tales that lead from one book to the next and each ones keeps pace or outdoes the one before it. Not much time elapases between books so it's really easy to just pick up where you left off. I'm already drooling for another of Amanda's books and hope it comes before I expire from lack of a fantastic story.

Texas Pride by Leigh Greenwood (Terra's Review)

A PRINCE AMONG MEN

Carla Reece had never met anyone more infuriating in her life. The blond giant who swaggered up to her door had no right to take over half her ranch - no matter how stupid her brother had been gambling it away in a high-stakes poker game. Her new foreman claimed to be some foreign royalty who promised to leave in a year. Still, a year was way too long to spend with a man who made her madder than a wet hen and weak in the knees all at the same time.

A HELLION AMONG WOMEN

Ivan may have charmed everyone in town into thinking he was the perfect gentleman, but Carla knew better. There had to be a chink in his armor-a red-hot passion under that calm, cool gaze. But once she finds it, she may be in for more than she ever bargained for...

(Terra's Thoughts) I did enjoy this story but it became a bit more than I could take when our hero plays stupid just a wee bit too much. We all know he's smart and kind but he story doesn't focus as much on that as it does on a furious heroine and then our hero.

Carla Reece is a stubborn western gal who is trying her darndest to keep the ranch that her mother and father left to her and her brother afloat. Also trying to raise said brother who is still wet behing the ears is a tough job to handle so when he comes home and tells her he lost his half of the ranch all Hell breaks loose.

Ivan is a from a European country with old fashioned European ways. He is kind, handsome, brave and will give you the shirt off his back if needed. Actually too sweet and kind for his own good but that doesn't mean he's as dumb as a doorknob.

The storyline is evenly paced and nicely descriptive but just needs to focus more on our hero's charms instead of how stupid he can play. Yes we all have a method to our madness but if it means playing the dullest lightbulb in the pack I say the method needs a bit of improvement. This was the only thing in this story that really irritated me quite a bit. Other than this I found the storyline nice and refreshing from what I usually read.

I really don't like being critical but can't help it here but even so if you like westerns then give this a chance as you probably enjoy it.
