Under a Vampire Moon by Lynsay Sands (Terra's Review)

When Vampires Go On Vacation . . .

Escaping a horrible marriage, Carolyn Connor has no desire to think about men—a vow she's determined to keep while on vacation in St. Lucia. She'll take the Caribbean sun and sea and plenty of tropical drinks with those cute umbrellas poolside, thank you. She absolutely does not need male company, no matter how tan and rock-hard his body may be.

Easy enough, but then Carolyn meets the charming Marguerite Argeneau, who is infamous among her family for her matchmaking prowess . . .

Christian Notte has well known the power of finding a life mate. He's seen enough of his Argeneau relatives taken down for the count, but he never imagined he'd let himself fall in love—until he meets the enthralling, charmingly skittish, and oh-so-mortal Carolyn. But how will he reveal what he is and still convince this once-bitten mortal to trust him with her heart . . . and her forever?

(Terra's Thoughts)  Reading Under a Vampire Moon is like coming home for a family reunion.  Considering we have sixteen Argeneau books now, our author still brings us a wonderful romance with something new and unique to keep our interest.  I must say I just love theses books and have read everything Lynsay Sands has written to date.  Now to wait for my next fix.

Carolyn Connor is on a much needed vacation but as fate would have it she has been plunged into a Honeymoon Resort by her loving friends.  Trying to take her mind off her divorce which is in the final stages doesn't keep her mind from waundering everytime she looks in any direction at loving couples in the throws of newly wedded bliss.  How cruel can fate be?

Christian Notte has just found out from his mother that she has found his lifemate in the most romantic of places.  Unfortunately for Christian his beloved is gun shy of men, has no intention of placing herself in said company of any male for fear of being hurt again.  Can Christian convince Carolyn that she is his life, love and soul without scaring her off.  Let's hope so.

The story is like coming home to see family members again, catching up on old times while creating new relationships and memories.  This installment is just another piece of a puzzle being put together slowely and lovingly.  I just can't get enough of Lynsay Sands and her wonderful Argeneau's.

The Highlander's Prize by Mary Wine (Terra's Review)

BASTARD ROYAL DAUGHTER, PAWN IN A DEADLY GAME

Sent to Scotland to be the king's mistress and produce an heir, Clarrisa of York has never needed a miracle more. But the brusque Highland laird who kidnaps her is a bit too rough to be considered divine intervention.

HE'LL DO ANYTHING TO THWART HIS KING

With rival lairds determined to steal Clarrisa from him and royal henchmen searching for her all over the Highlands, Laird Broen MacNicols has a mess on his hands. Worse yet, there's a magnetic attraction between them, although he's betrothed to another. But even an independent–minded lady like Clarrisa knows that a Highlander always claims his prize...

(Terra's Thoughts) Oh there's nothing like a steamy story featuring a six foot plus Highlander treat. Mary Wine always delivers with her stories never ceasing to make us grab for another napkin to wipe the drool off our faces with.

Clarrisa of York is the royal bastard threatening the beginning of the Tudor period in English Royal History. Her uncle has enslaved her since her childhood never giving her praise but always making sure she knew why she keeping her head on her shoulders. Now the time has come to send sweet Clarrisa to the King of Scotland in hopes of breeding a child that would be entitled to the throne of both Scotland and England in future days.

Laird Broen MacNichols does as any honorable Highlander would do and stand up for the rightful true Liege of Scotland and hoping with each and every breath he breathes that his country will not come into civil war over the stupidity and greed of his current King. A man so honorable he is determined to thwart all attempts against a Royal Bastard only because it is a female.

The story is quick paced with tons of action, steamy romance, hawt sex that will sizzle your fingers and deceptions aplenty. Even through all of this Broen's countrymen are loyal as can be to each other and will protect what is rightfully and truly theirs and their honor.

I love Mary Wine for a fantastic Historical Romance that will make me long to be a personal part of the story with her descriptive narration. My senses are as taut as a piano string waiting to be plucked as I turn page after wonderful page. Oh now to await for Mary's next book. UGH!
