Jesse by C. H. Admirand (Terra's Review)

Loneliness Will Take a Man Places...

Jesse Garahan has plenty of Irish charm, but having had his heart demolished twice, he's sworn off women forever. Until the fateful day he meets Danielle Brockway and her tiny daughter on their way to their new home in Pleasure, Texas.

But There May Be Places He Doesn't Want To Go...

Fiercely protective of her little girl, Danielle isn't about to let Jesse get anywhere close enough to hurt either of them, no matter how much longing she sees in his eyes...

(Terra's Thoughts)  Oh my have I been missing out.  This is really the first series I have read with a Western theme and dear Lord I can only say that I need more.  C. H. Admirand has swept my breath away with her trilogy of sexy studs that are more than any one woman could possibly wish for.  Oh Yumm!

Jesse Garahan is the epitomy of Tall, Dark and Handsome!  Throw in a cowboy code of honor with a sexual hunger that will have you salaviting until the cows come home and you got the best of the best.  Oh my I need me a cowboy stallion even if it's just for one night. (sigh.............)

Danielle is a pretty little blonde with a little replica of herself in a pink cowboy hat and boots that will make your heart melt.  Her daughter is every mother's dream child but can Danielle help her little girl heal her broken heart from a daddy that just up and left without a care in the world?

They say good things come in small packages and this story is everything that you could possibly want from a good book.  A man with a heart and sexual hunger as big as the state of Texas but with the gentleness and caring of a heart surgeon.  A woman who doesn't know if she can trust another cowboy and with a small daughter who melts her heart into tiny pieces.  A little girl who is too intelligent by far but with an innocent perception of love that will make you melt like putty with her sweet little antics.

Out of the Trilogy of this cowboy series with Tyler being the first, Dylan the second and now Jesse the third, I would have to say that C. H. Admirand saved the best for last.  I absolutely loved all three but this by far is my favorite of all.  Just hand me over a Jesse for myself and I will truly live happily ever after.

  • Lord of Fire and Ice by Connie Mason with Mia Marlowe (Terra's Review)

His Duty is to Fulfill Her Every Desire...

Brandr the Far–Traveled has seen the world and a good many of the beautiful women in it. His bed skills are the stuff of steamy legend, his sword sings death, and he can call up fire from thin air. No one in a hundred years ever thought he could be enslaved through trickery and forced to wear the iron collar of a thrall—least of all him.

Until All She Desires is Him...

Katla the Black isn't just called so for her dark, silky hair. His new mistress has a temper as fierce as a warrior's and a heart as icy as the frozen North. But inch by delicious inch, Brandr means to make her melt...

(Terra's Thoughts) After having read several books by these authors I was a bit disappointed in this one.  I found it just a bit slow even though it did have a nice story line.

Katla the Black is a widow and the leader of her people.  Since her husband died she is not in any hurry to look for another since she would lose all everything she has worked so hard for.  A dark haired beauty who is respected by her people for her wisdom and fair justice while keeping them all safe and sound, well feed and hard working.  But now her brother's think she should marry but will she or could she give up what she loves more than anything else.  Freedom!

Brandr the Far-Traveled is the son of a karl and a brave warrior who has been off fighting wars for the the safety of the world as they know it.  Strong, honorable, fierce and much to good looking for his own good.  His week point however is a good woman in his bed to satisfy the itch that is constantly plagueing him.  Will this be his undoing or will he out smart even the most ruthless of characters?

The story is set on a small island with Katla and her people while introducing Brandr to a fate he never expected.  A bit slow in the storyline but one that is at least more that the slam, bam, thank you mam that is out there.  There are some nice steamy hawt scenes that help make up for the pace of the book and will make you sizzle with envy.  I wish there had been a bit more to this book but it was still a good read.
